Hello! I'm not sure if you missed my previous message - you might want to hunt back a couple of hours ago for it. But in short, yes, it's free, and it works with all popular screen readers on all major operating systems - NVDA, JAWS, or Narrator on Windows; VoiceOver on macOS; Orca on Linux. It's meant for creating music in standard notation - for sighted musicians to read. But it can export MusicXMNL for use with converters like BrailleMUSE, and it even has a limited built-in Braille export.
When it comes to creating standard notation, it s actually on of the best programs there is for this, despite being free. It's also one fo the most accessible of all standard music notation programs. We have many blind users of MuseScore, and we're constantly incorporating their feedback to better the program.
But again, if your main focus is Braille, you would almost certainly be better off with a program dedicated to that, like GOODFEEL.

Has anyone had the chance to try out Muse Score with a screen reader? What exactly does Muse Score do? What do people on this list think of it? I presume it’s free?
Thanks!
