[Menvi-discuss] Adding of multiple voices in musescore

Normally in print music, each instrument reads from its own staff.
However, in large ensembles like orchestras, it is common to place the
first and second flutes on a single staff using multiple voices, same for
oboe, clarinet, etc. Is that what you mean? To switch between voices, use
Ctrl+Alt plus the number of the voice.
For more information on using MuseScore, please be sure to read the online
Handbook (accessed via the Help menu) - it is quite thorough. Also see my
online course at https://masteringmusescore.com for much more in-depth
training.
