Interesting to know one of your transcribers uses MuseScore in their
workflow!
While Alt plus cursor keys are the *default* shortcuts for this type of
navigation, you can customize these how you like. Normally cursors keys by
themselves are mapped to commands that are useful while *editing* music as
opposed to *reading* it, since editing is what most people are using
MuseScore for and sighted users don't necessarily keyboard shortcuts for
reading the score anyhow. But if your main usage is score reading, you
could reassign Left/Right/Up/Down to do the navigation commands instead, to
make that task more efficient. MuseScore is nicely flexible in that way.
BTW, I am featured in this week's episode of the Eyes on Success
<https://www.eyesonsuccess.net/> podcast, talking to hosts Peter & Nancy
Torpey about MuseScore accessibility. You can listen on your favorite
podcast platform or download the mp3 directly
