[Menvi-discuss] Accessible Digital Recorders

The iPhone is a great recorder, talking
instrument tuner, metronome, and a million other uses. (grin)

Just remember that it is a phone, so normally,
it's audio is being processed to sound best to
other people on the phone. (high-pass filter,
compression, noise reduction etc.) But, many
recording apps can turn off all that stuff if you want to capture things raw.

And, other companies sell tiny audio interfaces
that let you attach better equipment, microphones etc. if you're into that.
