[Menvi-discuss] Piano Practicing Issues

I used to have the issue with moving my elbow.  It was so bad that my 
teacher had to hold my elbows still until I got better at that.  Now it's 
not a problem.  Your teacher could also put her hands lightly on your wrists 
and move them as you play.  It might be an exaggerated movement but the 
first movement of the pathetique is a slow one so it might work.  I've never 
tried that particular thing with a student.  I have put my hands lightly on 
the hands of students in the beginning to make sure they're curving their 
fingers and holding their wrists properly.
