[Menvi-discuss] Roman Numeral Analysis and Braille Music?

Why is it "lowered?"  Most of the numbers I find as chords are capital VI 7.  Usually I am writing it underneath the music line with a dot six, v, i, and number sign, lowered number 7.  Sometimes it is NOT a lowered 7 and that is where it gets tricky.  Confusing, in fact.
