[Menvi-discuss] Saving XML files on MuseScore

Hi, I don't quite know what you mean by the measures thing, but in any
notation program, you have to use the export function to get an XML, not
save/save as. Save/save as is for saving in the notation program's native
format. So to save in XML, in MuseScore (similarly in other programs as
well), press alt+F to go to file menu, arrow down to export, and press
enter. Tab over to the format combo box, press enter on it, and arrow up
and down to get to MusicXML. Once you're there, press enter. Pressing right
arrow will enable you to access another combo box to choose which MusicXML
format you want to save in. Compressed MusicXML (.mxl) is the default, but
you can switch it to uncompressed XML (.musicxml or .xml) if you want. It
doesn't really matter which type of XML you save in. Some older programs
don't recognize the .mxl compressed format, but Sao Mai, being a newer
program, certainly does. Now, just save the file as any other. Hope this
helps.
