Hi Jenn, I am not a flutist, but you may want to see a teacher for this.
This sort of thing is hard to diagnose online, especially through text.
Your question isn't specifically about playing music as a blind person, so
I recommend posting this in a flute forum instead of here, since you'll get
more comprehensive answers. There are plenty of online forums for just
about every instrument.
