[Menvi-discuss] Creating multiple Scores in MuseScore

Hi,

They wouldn't technically be multiple scores, but you can certainly add more
than one piece of music to the same score file by creating a system or page
break to start the new piece, changing key and time signature as needed and
then making any warning ones on the end of the previous page invisible. You
could add titles, composer name etc by positioning them above the relevant
bar as stave text. But I don't think it is possible to have more than one
title as such, but I may have missed that.

The only problem with all this is that if you are for any reason exporting
to Braille it is going to make quite a bit of confusion with some text not
being where it should and those invisible time and key change warnings are
likely to all reappear.

I just keep all the individual score files in one folder with the songbook
title as folder name. And if you are importing into Sao Mai to create
Braille one of its really great features is that you can open a new print
document and add multiple xml files and even put additional text between
them. You can also change the score info properties dialogue box for each
individual score you have added to your print document and then hit Ctrl T
to translate and get the whole thing with multiple scores and additional
text translated in one go.

Jeanie

Subject: [Menvi-discuss] Creating multiple Scores in MuseScore

Hi,

I don't mean to turn this mailing list into a MuseScore mailing list, but I
do have a question. Is it possible to create multiple scores on one file
using MuseScore? My end project is to sort of create a personal music book.
Like those given to students in beginner school bands.
Basicly, have four or ten when possible of music exercises or short music
pieces on one sheet. Rather then each music piece in it's individual print
out. As example, have two or 3 exercises on top, "Hot Cross Bonds," and
"Mary Had a Little Lamb," beneith that and a couple of other exercises under
those. But have the title of each exercise or piece centered and then the
staff, then another title, etc.. Not sure if I'm explaining myself clear. If
someone does understand and know if it can be done. So not to cludder up the
list, would you mind replying to me privately with the instructions please?
