[Menvi-discuss] AP Music Theory test

I'd suggest using a scribe who can write her answers in print. Some testing
boards such as ABRSM will accept braille answer sheets, but given time
constraints, the scribe may be a better solution for this problem at this
time. Then once the pressure of the test is off, you can explore other
alternatives including technology.

Just my two cents! I've taken many theory and other technical exams using
scribes; it's not a perfect solution, but it is workable.

Subject: [Menvi-discuss] AP Music Theory test

Hi,

I am trying to figure out the best way for my student to be able to answer
the questions on the AP Music theory test that involve writing music.

She currently just writes the letters of the notes and her teacher
interprets it.

I'm wondering if using a scribe who knows music would be best or if we need
to work on using software like MuseScore for her to be able to input her
answers.

This is our first experience with this particular AP test and I can't seem
to get any answers from CollegeBoard directly.

Does anyone have any experience with this test in braille format?

Roxanne
