Yeah, that's what I mean. I don't have a Mantis myself, but as far as I
know, the Mantis has two text/file editors. The main one is KeyPad, which
can save .txt files and can open files in a few other formats, including
.brf, if I am not mistaken. The other is KeyBRF, which is specifically
designed for reading and editing .brf files.

On the Sao Mai side, what file format are you saving in. Sao Mai will save
a .smb file by default, so make sure you're saving in .brf. Otherwise, I
would go to the options dialog, which is accessed via the tools menu (alt
l) and then arrow up until to get to options. From there, go to the section
"translation tables", then go to the very last option that says "always
save BRF/BRL as" and make sure it is ASCII. I think it is set to ASCII by
default, though.
