[Menvi-discuss] Development Status of Braille Music Editor

Hello list

I'm wondering if anyone can clarify whether the Braille Music Editor program
developed in Italy by Associazione Giuseppe Paccini is still being updated.
I tried it in 2020 and I found it to be very good at entering braille music
directly, and very bad at printing and exporting.

In trying to find out about the current version, I've come across references
to Bem2, Bme2.4, Bme2.4.6, Bme2021, and even V3.06. I have found no way of
telling whether there are differences between all these versions because
when you go into the help About menu it gives the copyright as 2009.

I'm not a full-time musician, but do the odd bit of composing (songs with
piano accompaniment and solo piano pieces) and would like to be able to
create print scores that I can share. As I work full-time I don't have the
time to spend learning something like Sibelius or Musescore (although I have
considered Lillypond), and being fluent in the braille music code I'd like
to use that as my input method, hence my interest in Braille Music Editor.

Any help or information would be much appreciated.

Bruce
