[Menvi-discuss] Special Announcement: Funeral for John D. Henry, Renown Blind Musician and Braille Music Expert [cross-posted]

To those of you who may not yet have heard, the music community at large and
the community of blind musicians in particular mourns the passing of John D.
Henry, renown harpsichordist, teacher, presenter and braille music
enthusiast.  His funeral will be on Friday, February 19 at 2 o'clock in the
afternoon, London time.

 

You are invited to attend virtually.  The order of service for his mass of
Christian Burial will include a number of appropriate musical selections
including two new pieces by Nicholas Lane, one of John's good friends, who
will be playing the organ for the requiem mass.  There will be vocal
performances of pieces by Mozart and Bach.  We will also hear a recording of
Professor Henry himself performing harpsichord music of Couperin.

starting a few minutes before the service begins. 

 

I understand that, due to Covid restrictions, only a limited number of
