further, I am surprised you can't find a teacher 
who relies more on written music. Anybody who 
came up through the conservatory grades, i.e. a 
formal method, should be able to teach this way. 
Not so for the guy who teaches through the local 
music shop, who may or may not have any qualifications at all.
