well it's your choice. we can't tell you if it's a good or bad idea.
You know better than us what the requirements of your program are.
As a guitarist, I would just say that every instrument has its
particular challenges. Guitar it might be finding your way around
the neck. Trumpet, it's developing an ombachure and learning how to
buzz. Drummers need to be able to count to four. Oops sorry, didn't
mean to throw a drummer joke in there. *grin*
