[Menvi-discuss] accommodation question

The university vs. VR question is very gray. Universities will typically pay
for accommodations such as software used on university computers; readers,
scribes, or note-taking assistants in class, etc. They are not required to
pay for software for your personal computer, accommodations for your
personal study time, etc. So making you successful in university is very
muhc a partnership between university and VR--VR cannot modify the
university computers, etc.

Hi all,
Just for personal reference could someone clarify what a university
might pay for. From what I gather I'm assuming it's specialized
training, services, or equipment which a student would need in order
to have appropriate accomodations for a course. Is this correct?
I know it's a school by school basis, but I was unaware that the
university could pay for anything and thought that was what VR
services were for.
Kelsey, have you checked out the possibility of attending a summer
program for braille music study? I've been going to them for years
and they really help. Unfortunately, the Summer Braille Music
Institute isn't happening this summer, but there are other programs
which focus on that kind of training along with other aspects of
performance.
