[Menvi-discuss] Question about what a theory example is saying

Hello,
attached is a BRF File that is in my theory book, but I have no idea what it 
is saying on the bass line.
I get the first chord, the ebd, gef(4th interval? I don't know what that is, 
I don't see it in How to Read Braille Music.)

It looks like a 4th interval sign, sharp sign and K right after another. 
Then it shows up a little later with a 4th interval sign, sharp.
Please can someone shed some light on what is going on here? I was just 
assigned this and it is due by Friday...
