[Menvi-discuss] Quearies about Good feel

Hello Ria,
I have no idea how you have gone through theory without Lime, I find it
crucial when I want to do Theory assignments...
I've talked to several professional musicians and they like to higher
transcribers.
I'm thinking I may want to have a secretary person/friend who I can pay like
$10-15 an hour or something like that to make copies, organize and tab my
accompanist binder/s, format and put together my headshot and resumes and
possibly convert music from Sharp Eye to Lime. I have that somewhat now at
my school and I really love it, I don't have to worry that one of my books
is missing a song, or that one of my songs is printed funny. I can also be
handed a song from my teacher, and they get it copied and sent off to the
transcriber ASAP.
I am a little concerned about getting a whole score transcribed though, that
would be very costly and most people can buy one for pretty cheep. I'm a
Bass/Baritone, so the amount of already transcribed music is very small. My
solution for now is to learn as much in school as I can, that way I can get
the school to pay for my music to be transcribed.
This is kind of a problem that haunts my future, so I hope I find a definite
plan by the time I leave school.
Thanks,

Brandon Keith Biggs

Hi,

thank you so much for all your feedback. I have had a range of for and
against opinions for this product. But I think Debra raises a fair
point: how would a totally blind musician convert print music to
braille and vice versa?

I am totally blind and in the process of finishing my music degree
(majoring in classical voice). I hope to do singing as my profession
and therefore would like to become self-reliant in terms of getting my
music etc. So I am looking for effective means to do it. I have a
lovely and very efficient transcriber who does my stuff for all these
years. But he is getting on with age and reminds me now and again that
he is not immortal.

So I'm interested to hear from other practising musicians who uses
Goodfeel and Lime (and sibalius) about their experiences with these
softwares.

Regards,
Ria
