Hi. You could also try asking the secretary at the music department
to get a message to him. If I'm looking for a certain professor at my
school, I have gotten our department secretary to write a message to
that professor telling that person that I'm looking for him or her and
what I want. Other than that, I think you've done everything
possible. I would have suggested asking another professor, but you've
already done that. If you have an advisor, you could also ask that
person to help you. Sometimes it's very easy for a professor to get
lost in a music department... :)
