[Menvi-discuss] Keeping Braille Music Organized?

Um ... if your Mom's a TVI, why don't you ask if you can check out what she
uses with her students? That way if she uses the floppy binders or the
pocket folders or the hard cover three-ring binder, you'll be able to see
ahead of time what you're getting?

Yes, I believe the big notebook is solid.
Possibly I could keep a couple anthologies in it...
True, I see what you mean, but I like to pull out my pages that I'm working
on and keep them in a place I can easily get to.
I'll probably just get an order of everything but the big guy and see how it
works out.
Thank you!

I have. It really depends on what you want. THe nice thing about the big
braille notebook is that it's solid, if it's the one I'm thinking of. I.e.,
everything won't get too terribly squashed. They can get heavy, though. It
really depends on what you're sticking in the binder and how much music. If
you are unable to get the music as braille files and really have to have to
have to keep your music in nice condition, I would get the big notebook
that's solid. You should call to make sure it's solid, though, because I
could potentially be misleading you.
As far as the pocket things go ... I personally found those to be a pain,
particularly for pieces that are two or more pages because it would imply
that those particular pages are loose and not tied down to the rings of a
binder. It's just easier to get all over the place and find that you're
missing a page. So I like punching holes in my music and shovi ng them in
binders. Again, it's a preference thing.
