[Menvi-discuss] Keeping Braille Music Organized?

APH sells binders with flexible plastic covers for a reasonable price. They
also sell the equivalent of a two-pocket folder for braille paper that has
holes punched so you can keep it in the three-ring binder.
Office supply stores sell accordion folders. Get a bunch of those and get
some file folders--they have metal rods strung through the tops of them so
they can be put in file cabinets. Cut the file folders in half and glue them
to the front and back of the accordion folders to make the accordon folder
tall enough to accommodate braille paper. Get a square or rectangular box
that can accommodate braille paper standing up and use the adapted folders
to file your music. You can put tabs in the tops of the file folders and put
labels on the tabs to alphabetize the folders. That oughta leash your loose
lot of papers.

Dani

Subject: [Menvi-discuss] Keeping Braille Music Organized?

Hello,
I'm wondering how people keep themselves from being eaten out of house and
home by loose braille pages from many different volumes?
I put the plastic binding on some of them, but in most cases the braille
books are huge, so when I'm learning a 2 page song, lugging around a massive
book isn't really practical, so I take out the separate pages. I was
thinking also about getting 3 ring binders to keep all my music in, but I
don't know of a place that sells thin 3 ring binders for dirt cheep,
especially binders that are large enough for braille books.
The 4th option I thought of was that I could get rings for the 3 ring
binders and just thread the rings through the holes.
What do you all do? And what do you do about single songs that you print out
that are too big to keep lying around and are too small to be given a book
of their own?
Thanks,

Brandon Keith Biggs
