Brandon, you have lots of self-confidence and it will certainly serve you in good stead.  Keep believing in yourself and fight for yourself.  You'll do well.  You remind me of Winy Kwany.  Have you followed her story?  She lives in Indonesia and all of her teachers keep telling her she cannot do it but she will not listen and is DOING IT.  She believes in herself and will succeed.  And so will you.
