I know you all have heard of Whitney Houston's passing last Friday it
is a big news item in the music industry and well, worldwide so I
thought I'd share the following with you and yes when I was a little
girl, I always thought one day I'd sing like her. I sing tenor and
play a soprano instrument, the trumpet, some match, eh?
As the preparations for Whitney Houston‘s funeral are finalized in
time for the service on Saturday, more details on the guests and the
performers are being released.
The private service is inviting 1,500 of Whitney’s closest family and
celebrity friends as well as confirmed performances from Alicia Keys,
Stevie Wonder, and her Godmother, Aretha Franklin.
Publicist Kristen Foster also confirms that invitations went out to
Houston’s ex-husband, Bobby Brown, despite previous rumors that
Houston’s family didn’t want him to attend. Invitations also went out
to her co-star in The Bodyguard, Kevin Costner, Oprah Winfrey, Brandy
and her brother Ray J, who was reportedly in an intimate relationship
with Houston.
Houston’s longtime music mentor Clive Davis will also speak at the
service with Pastor Marvin Winans (brother to gospel singers BeBe and
CeCe Winans) delivering the eulogy.
Other guests include good friend Chaka Khan, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Tyler
Perry, Dionne Warwick, Kim Burrell, Rickey Minor will all honor
Houston at the invite-only service this Saturday at the New Hope
Baptist Church at noon.

probably Eastern I think.
