[Menvi-discuss] Other Music Schools With Not Many Academic Classes

There are probably thousands of music schools in the U.S. and most of them
teach either classical or Jazz.
Because you are looking at Berklee, I'm presuming you live on the east
coast.
Depending on how good you are you've got classical voice schools in my
opinion some of the better schools:
Curtis Institute of music, (BM)
Mannes the New School for Music, (BM, not sure about MM)
Manhattan school of music, (BM, MM, you'd want to do both there because you
get to perform with NY Opera and I think they also have lots of people going
to the Met).
Eastman, (BM and MM, Where I want to go for my masters, very hard to get
into, People like Renee Fleming give frequent master classes there).
Peabody Conservatory, (BM, I know a blind Opera singer who went there).
New England, (MM, I know a sighted person who's gone there).
Julliard, (MM, DA, I wouldn't go here till you're firm in your technique).

Then you can always go to is it
Crain? (The place Renee Fleming attended).

There is another list about a mile long for west coast if you would like
those. Most of these are strictly classical voice. You will get no hard
math, you probably won't see anything past algebra 2 or Statistics and the
only science you'll have to do is in your vocal pedagogy class.
BTW You can go on any school's website and read their curriculum. You can
then determine what course path will be best for you.
Hope this helps,
