[Menvi-discuss] movement in choir

Hello,
When I learn dance I meet with the choreographer one on one. When I ask
them about the moves I ask them for the terminology, either French or other
common terminology to describe the moves.
If there is a variation or action I don't know I ask them to please move my
hands into the right position. I also ask them if I can feel what they are
doing when they do the same action.
Then I perform the action and usually I'll get a comment that I'm not quite
there, or that the move is almost there.
I ask them to then explain what is wrong and let me feel them again or have
them move me again focusing on the part that isn't right. It takes a little
while, but once I'm able to execute the move flawlessly at least 3 times we
move onto the next move.
It takes a while, but it is worth it because often you're more firm in your
knowledge of what to do than your peers.
Please let me know if you have questions,
Brandon Keith Biggs

Subject: [Menvi-discuss] movement in choir
Hello,
I am singing in two choirs. For our concert, we are singing
Betelehemu with movement. What I would like to know is, has
anyone ever sang this song and did the movement? If so, how do I
communicate with the directors about the best way to assist me in
learning it as well as during the concert?
Thanks,
