[Menvi-discuss] music technology for VI

There are scripts for version 5 of Sibelius hosted presently at
www.raisedbar.net.
Version 7, the latest, has some in-built facility for screenreader use
which pathes the way for future versions. Google Sibeliusaccess +blog
for further info.
Folks over here are also using Goldwave for editing audio with scripts
for JAWS.
www.reaaccess.com is the home of the scripts for Reaper but the site
doesn't look like it is being maintained.
Cheers, James

Thanks Brandon for your assistance. I am aware of a couple of products
by Dancing Dots. My braille music is done with Toccata and I do audios
with Audacity. I heard about Sibelius Scripts, but I am aware that it
is designed for Sibelius 3 only. I know Sibelius allows for alot of
manual entry. I was wondering if Finale is still active with similar
manual controls. Thanks again, Rick

	Hello,
In the area of Music Technology, Dancing Dots has developed the
Caketalking scripts to work with Sonar. So far that is the only
accessible Daw I know of for Windows. The Mac has Protools which I have
herd is becoming more accessible, but I've never used it.
The Dancing Dots list would probably be your best bet if you
want info on Music Technology.

For composing, there is Lime from Dancing dots (With the lime
scripts) and Sibelius with the Sibelius scripts. I don't think there is
any composing software for the Mack.
	Thanks,

	Dear members:

I am doing a presentation on music technology and the visually
impaired. I would appreciate any information regarding this topic,
especially accommodations for technology, or what technology you may
have used to develop accommodations for your students. My deadline for
researching is January 15th, 2012. Thank you to everyone for their
assistance.

	Sincerely, Rick Coates
