My concern is that if we worry about that too much, we won't do anything. I've been a victim of an attack in a place where I thought I was being taught and helped. It's not just out there. It's in the blind centers and other places too. If we don't step out, we get stuck and being stuck is worse than decaying because there is no movement.

Asking for help can be very dangerous, exactly what I was talking about. You can end up being kidnapped by someone intent on doing harm, as is very evident in the news these days. Not just city streets, but college campuses are not safe at all.
I certainly admire the independent travel, and I know it is a source of pride, but the world is becoming more and more perilous, and not just for females. Anyone can be a victim.
