  Deborah,

So did I, in fact, I still have a copy of it on the bottom shelf of my closet of all places. Should brush it off and reread it so i can get back in to at least reading. All your messages are being archived in our MENVI staff dropbox and maybe we'll do something for the journal, I'll be talking to Richard about this. Keep the great words coming.

Awwwwww. So sorry to hear that. Is her husband still alive? I was at Illinois when they were there in the '60s. He taught string bass, I think. She tried to get me into music braille at that time, but when she said it had to be perfect with no errors, it scared me out, plus I was doing lots of literary at the time and didn't think I could handle it. I didn't start the music exercises until the '90s.

      Dear MENVI members:

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Bettye Krolick
last evening. She is known to most of us as "The Godmother of Braille
      Music."

More will follow as soon as it becomes available.

The inspiration for your network, and the enormous advances in music
braille and its technology, can be greatly attributed to Bettye and to all
of those whose lives she touched.

As for myself, she was a mentor, and a substantial inspiration for the
methodology and presentation of my courses. She will be missed beyond
      words.
