I couldn’t agree more.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I was privileged to enjoy Grant’s company at a number of conferences over the years. One of the fun facts about Grant was that he roasted his own coffee beans and so supplied me with an excellent cup of coffee from time to time when we were together. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>At my request, back In 2017, Grant came up to coach some of the pianists at our Summer Music Academy program at the Enchanted Hills Camp. He was an inciteful teacher who could get his point across to a student with wit and good humor. He led a couple of listening session for our campers making many historical connections between contemporary pop and R&B music with American popular song and jazz going back over a century. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>He could always make me laugh. I will miss him too.
