The input method is by playing on the qwerty keyboard a piano or hooking up a Midi controller. You can add parts, labels, lyrics and all the extra symbols very easily. You can insert measures really easy and remove measures really easy. It is rather unnerving having to make corrections as you play over what you want to change. You have to watch what length note your notes are set to. Your number row ` through = are all short-cut keys for adding slurs, making half notes, making triads and all that funk. To navigate you can move with the numpad by measure, annotation, note and you can hear certain things with navigation.
