'60s. He taught string bass, I think. She tried to get me into
music braille at that time, but when she said it had to be perfect with no
errors, it scared me out, plus I was doing lots of literary at the time
and didn't think I could handle it. I didn't start the

last evening. She is known to most of us as "The Godmother of Braille<br>
Music."<br>

The inspiration for your network, and the enormous advances in music<br>
braille and its technology, can be greatly attributed to Bettye and to all<br>
of those whose lives she touched.<br>
<br>
As for myself, she was a mentor, and a substantial inspiration for the<br>
methodology and presentation of my courses. She will be missed beyond<br>
words.<br>
