Subject: [Menvi-discuss] guitar

Hello,
I haven't posted in a while, but I would like some input. I really want to
learn to play guitar since I already play piano and sing in a choir. Plus,
guitar is always a good instrument to know how to play if I want to play in
a talent show or for family when no piano is available. I can't really
afford a private teacher, so I was wondering if there are any free courses
in Braille that would teach me the basic guitar skills and chords.
I am one of those people that actually has to have a physical book to read
while I learn something. Audio does not help me as much. By free I mean
something I can borrow or download from nls or bard. Also, how does someone
without sight access guitar tabs such as the ones posted on ultimate guitar
tab? Can they be read with a Braille display or JAWS or would I need to have
the chords transcribed into music Braille so I can read them easier?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to write me offlist with
further information.
Thank you,
Kelsey Nicolay
