[Menvi-discuss] question about music for conducting

Hi Julie,

The only problem with short score is that when the parts have different words and come in at different times it is challenging at times to tell what is going on. I am not an experienced conductor by any means. At present I’m on teaching placement and am taking a few choir rehearsals. The best thing I have found to do is work hard myself before rehearsals. Play the parts separately, learn to sing them, then do my best with the (and my head) score in rehearsals. Other blind conductors I have known seemed to be very familiar with the score themselves and use the braille mainly as a reference.

All the best,
Jordie
