Debra, and discussion group,
Yes, the duets in "Introduction to Piano for the Blind Student," Graded Studies Book 1 can be used for early performance as well as exercises.
See the short canons that can be repeated several times. Pages 28 and 34 are slightly longer; all duets were intended for study, as you indicated, but also meant for simple performance for young students.
