Hi, Stephanie.
Try Control+shift+8 (on number row); it's a toggle to turn the extra
stuff on and off. If you've got a braille display and the toggle is on,
you'll see dots 3-7 for space marker and dots 1-4-5-8 for carriage returns.
I've got a low tolerance for my own ineptitude on the computer, too. (In
my case, I'd inadvertently turn the JFW home row utility on and have to
restart to turn it off because I didn't know what I'd done to get it on
to begin with. Sometimes when we do things and need to be fast about it,
our fingers go where they shouldn't and stuff gets turned on or off. Ah,
well.)
