Hi Stephanie.
Do the following:
In MSWord, go to tools, and then options, or just press alt plus t, and then O;
Go to the display page;
tab until you get paragraph and spaces;
both checkboxes must be unchecked;
I think there must be an all checkbox that must be unchecked as well;
i don't see that now in my settings, but anyway.
Hope it helps.

Subject: [Menvi-discuss] JAWS question
Hi,
I am having a problem with JAWS. In Microsoft Word documents, it is reading every blank space and return, so , it will say "space marker" between every word of every sentence.
It says "paragraph marker" for each blank line.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make it stop doing this? I am currently using JAWS Version 7.0, with Windows XP Home Edition and Office 2003 on a desktop computer.
The problem has arisen quite suddenly--about two days ago. It does not do this in SONAR files or e-mail messages (thank God!).
Thanks if anyone can help me with this--it makes reading and editing really cumbersome and annoying, and it also confirms that, when it comes to technology, I have a low tolerance for my own ineptitude!
