Seems to me you need to get the beat in your head and body first and then just read the words to that beat.

> Yes, that's what I do, but once I start adding the timing to the words, my teacher has her students write out the words with slashes in-between the letters to signify beats. So that way when you listen to your recording of the teacher speaking the words you know what's going on while you're reading along, and when you go to the metronome, you have a real-time example you can follow off of. (I don't read Braille music fast enough to get this kind of thing, so I'm not even sure if this is possible with reading the words and the music at the same time.
